As you may be aware, NASSCOM is part of Consultation Committee of Goods and Services Tax Network (GSTN) formed for simplification of forms and business processes associated with GST and improvement in the IT System.

The third meeting of the commitee is scheduled for August 27, 2021 to provide feedback/suggestions on the following:

  1. Significant changes in GSTR-1, GSTR-2A, GSTR-2B and GSTR-3B Returns & Integration.
  2. Recent changes in Registration & Refund.
  3. New Functionalities & Tools required.
  4. Changes in available Functionalities.

Based on inputs received from members, we have made a detailed submission on August 13, 2021 to GSTN highlighting issues faced by the Industry in filing GST returns and other technical glitches. Our suggestions include removing restrictions on the number of times an amendment can be made in B2C category in GSTR-1, GSTR-1 should be auto-generated, facility of downloading GSTR-1 in excel from GSTN portal should be allowed, amongst others.

Our detailed submission to GSTN is attached for your reference.

We hope you will find it useful.
