Cloud is a computing model that is driving industrialization of IT services - dynamically scalable, that can be delivered on demand over the network in a pay per use model, in sync with today’s customer demands of efficiency, flexibility and increased time to market.

 

Cloud computing is estimated have a net positive impact on existing service lines of the IT-BPO sector, in addition to opening up new opportunities. While some of these prospects will be net new for service providers, some will require players to re-invent their service offerings. It is important to note that not all workloads will move to the Cloud, through the spectrum of Cloud ready workloads will continue to expand at a rapid pace.

 

Cloud computing will also have a telling impact on the IT-BPO industry landscape- abstraction and commoditization of IT through Cloud will reduce barriers to entry and bring in new breed of players into the industry such as telecom companies, market-centric players, smaller companies and government organizations. In such a vibrant ecosystem, the need to establish winning partnerships remains tantamount.
