NASSCOM hosted a session on “Knowledge sharing on Open Innovation” as a roundtable breakfast discussion for Cargill at the 10K Start up warehouse. The flow of the discussion was around the Journey of Cargill GIC in India, Open Innovation concepts, Innovation accelerators in India, and finally on the Innovation Journey experience made by the participating companies and how to make the innovation framework successful.

We had industry pioneers from the insurance, finance and retail who actively engaged with the start-up community, the unique approaches adopted by them to engage with the start-ups, the emerging trends they experienced, the impact created through leadership engagement in start-ups, and lastly how India is presented to the parent company as an innovation center.  Sharing a few key takeaways points that emerged, the involvement of the Global leaders while engaging with Start-Ups for innovation is key for driving it through the organization and there is no fixed approach while engaging with the Start-up community. The leaders were very forthcoming and detailed in sharing their experience. We were delighted to host such an energized session on open innovation.
