Dear All Hope you all doing well, this is Masa from Gastrotope. I would like to inform to you all regarding apply deadline of our Farm to Fork acceleration program Fortissimo and result announcement. Through SNS and e-mail, we have been informing that apply deadline would be closed on 15th, but we decided to extend deadline to 22th of June (till next Friday) for making more startup opportunity. Some people have already asked us regarding deadline and also result announcement and screening process, so I hereby inform current plan of acceleration program. Hello, this is Masanori Yamamoto from Gastrotope.We Gastrotope are a catalyst/Farm to Fork accelerator. Let me introduce our acceleration program Fortissimo which will create new age sustainable Farm to Fork Ecosystem, in association with Government of Andhra Pradesh. Fortissimo is open for all Agri/Food/Aqua-Tech startups (including food processing, food produce startups, and supply-chain etc), and we will be finding 10 startups for the program in 2018-2019. Taizo Son’s Mistletoe has launched Gastrotope in India in partnership with Gurgaon-based GSF Accelerator and Indo-Japan business consultancy Infobridge. Taizo is SoftBank Group’s founder Masayoshi Son’s younger brother.  This is Mistletoe’s fourth investment in India after Innerchef, Ninjacart and Kisan Network.  The newly launched accelerator Gastrotope will focus on sustainable ideas and models in the ‘farm-to-fork’ value chain. It plans to create an agriculture and food-tech enabled industry ecosystem throughout this value chain and invest in startups that can add value at various stages, starting with farmers and moving to food transportation, processing and delivery to consumption. This article is sourced from a Coca Cola document, so the impact may have been overstated. But this is not an isolated case. We also know of Pepsi contributing higher potato production in some states to ensure supply for Lay’s chips. Now, Coca Cola is influencing production in horticulture. Would anyone know of similar efforts by other large food companies?
