This calls for firms to reimagine and reengineer their business operations, products & services offered, shed some tried-and-tested practices in favour of newer, more radical practices and become more agile in responding to changing markets and unforeseen disruptions.

 

Continuing on the theme of Digital Enterprises, here is the final installment - Reimagining Indian Enterprises' Tech Landscape in a Digital-First World – A New Order Out of Chaos report. The report highlights the digital transformation perspective of Indian enterprises.

 

We conducted a survey of about 280 global enterprises and this report is a culmination of analysis from the responses received from Indian enterprises (~25% share).

 

Key Findings

Business models:

  • 60% of Indian enterprises are pivoting to new business and delivery models for business continuity
  • Diversification from B2B to B2C, introduction of more usage-based commercial models, launch of contactless digital services, etc.

 

Digital investments:

  • 96% of Indian enterprises have increased their budgets for digital investments
  • While technologies like AI/ML, IoT/edge computing, cybersecurity, cloud, mobility and social media witnessed a sharp rise, additive manufacturing, AR/VR, and blockchain will see steady investments

 

Hybrid work model:

  • 50% of Indian enterprises are prepared for a hybrid work environment in 2021
  • Staff-sharing alliances, crowdsourcing of talent, gig economy, and liquid workforce with hybrid roles will emerge

 

Hybrid workforce:

  • 28% of Indian enterprises are ready to manage a human-machine workforce

Over the next 2–3 years, 75% of Indian enterprises will be ready to work in an environment where humans, bots, and AI work side-by-side
