What do you understand by Content Marketing?

Content Marketing can be defined as a marketing technique that involves creation and distribution of valuable, helpful and relevant information to attract target audience and ultimately to drive profitable customer action.

Now the question arises…

How can you get the most out of content marketing?

Here, I am listing down 5 most important things to remember in content marketing.

  • Relevant content: Relevancy is the key in content marketing. It is very important to know your audience. You need to write about topics your audience wants to know from you.
  • Use keywords: Always try to use keywords in your main heading. Because search engines pay special attention to the headings as they expect headings to include clues of the content.
  • Build a story: Storytelling is one of the most powerful ways to connect with your audience. Build a story around your topic, give real life examples and you are done. Your audience connects with you when you share relatable stories.
  • Include visuals: Always try to use images, videos or infographics in your content. As it is rightly said, we remember 10% of what we read, 20% of what we hear, and 30% of what we see.
  • 80/20 rule: The ultimate aim of content marketing is to enable your audience to take profitable action; be it downloading an e-book, signing up for a program or buying a product/ service. Keeping all this in mind, your 80% of the content should always be aimed at providing useful information to your audience and the rest 20% should be aimed at selling them.

Follow these tips and you are good to go!
