Maharashtra IT-ITeS Policy 2021

Govt of Maharashtra is in the process of adopting a new IT-ITeS Policy, as the term of the current policy is about to end. In this context, NASSCOM and the Government of Maharashtra organised a meeting to discuss the upcoming Maharashtra IT-ITeS Policy 2021, on 25th February.

The meeting was chaired by Shri Subash Desai, Minister of Industry, Maharashtra and attended by Industry Secretary, Maharashtra, CEO-MIDC and other senior officials of the State Government. About 30 senior industry leaders from the IT-ITeS industry shared their views and suggestions for the upcoming policy. Taking IT-ITeS industry beyond Mumbai and Pune, forming and an IT advisory council with participation from Government and industry, separate policies for key segments like Data Centres and Engineering R&D, adopting Model RFP for all IT procurement of the State Government and easing out the constraints in the implementation of the policy were the important themes that were discussed. NASSCOM also made a written submission to the Government of Maharashtra highlighting the key suggestions.  The submission is attached
