NASSCOM: Request for proposals for Pre-Budget Memorandum 2021-22

Based on inputs received from members for Union Budget 2020-21, we have been able to highlight and address some of the major concern areas of IT-BPM industry. Copy of our last year’s Pre-Budget Memorandum submitted is attached for your reference.

It’s again time to give you a heads-up for pre-budget engagements for the year 2021-22. In this regard, we have started the process of preparing NASSCOM’s Pre-Budget Memorandum 2021-22 (PBM) to be submitted to Ministry of Finance. Based on our last year’s submission, we plan to structure this year’s PBM with to suggest measures to boost Indian economy post COVID-19 and to sustain global competitiveness of Indian IT-BPM sector. The major heads of the documents are as follows:

  1. Export promotion
  2. Measures to boost economy post COVID-19
  3. Incentivizing R&D in India
  4. Incentivizing talent and skilling
  5. Measures to support Start-ups and MSMEs
  6. Ease of Doing Business

As far as indirect taxes are concerned, we also plan to submit an updated memorandum to highlight issues faced by our industry under Goods & Services Tax Act (GST).

For this, you are requested to provide your inputs/ suggestions in the attached format before 30th September, 2020 to tejasvi@nasscom.in and jayakumar@nasscom.in
