Nasscom has submitted its feedback to the High Level Committee on Corporate Social Responsibility-2018 (HLC-2018) formulated by Ministry of Corporate Affairs (MCA). The HLC-2018 had invited comments to review the existing corporate social responsibility (CSR) framework, and to guide and formulate a coherent CSR policy.

Our suggestions to MCA include relaxation of applicability criteria for CSR as enumerated in section 135(1) of the Companies Act, 2013 and expansion of activities which are considered eligible ‘CSR spend’ under Schedule VII of the 2013 Act.

The detailed suggestions  are attached for your reference.
