LTI’s Digital Command Center@edge is the answer to intelligent manufacturing, with its unique value offering of edge analytics. Read how this solution will redefine the factory of the future.

In a typical factory today, even the everyday tasks and functions have become hugely complex and deeply inter-related. This has led to the emergence of a Digital Command Center, a solution that helps shop floor personnel track assets and system health, shop floor processes; maintain smooth shop floor operations and deliver valuable real-time business insights.

LTI has developed a Digital Command Center that provides actionable insights by collating and smartly integrating data from the shop floor systems and assets. The unique differentiation of this solution is – it performs operations on an edge device installed on the shop floor and share insights with various shop floor personas. The solution provides a comprehensive platform to view real-time asset health parameters, application parameters and business KPIs. This helps supervisors understand the origin of an issue; also, the use of analytics provides actionable insights. Therefore, the deployment of this solution helps in improving overall operational efficiency, reduce costs and unscheduled downtime.

Unique Features

  • LTI’s Digital Command Center@edge has evolved into a business insights platform, serving a range of data including business, IT and technology services, with four key features – Asset Monitoring, Application Monitoring, Business KPI monitoring, and Incident Monitoring.
  • The Asset Monitoring feature monitors critical parameters of the assets on the shop floor, generating alerts before the occurrence of critical incidents (Email, SMS, ServiceNow ticket), real-time dashboard for critical asset parameters.
  • The Application Monitoring feature monitors critical parameters of the shop floor applications and alerts generation before occurrence of critical incidents.
  • The Business KPI monitoring feature monitors business KPIs of a production line i.e. Asset uptime, Scrap, OEE, alerts generation based on threshold set, KPIs.
  • The Incident Monitoring System feature, integrated with ticketing systems like ServiceNow, helps in generating alerts for possible SLA violations, real-time dashboard tracking tickets and ticket SLAs, aid in ticket genealogy & possible ticket resolutions through AI / ML.

In the roadmap of DCC as a global rollout, AI/ML is envisaged for automated recommendation of resolution, bots-enabled resolution to provide enterprise level data aggregation & insights.

As a pilot version of DCC, the first Digital command center@edge project has been deployed at one of largest Life Science customer factories located in the US. Furthermore, LTI is planning for next steps of global rollout and enterprise-wide integration.

Tracking Real-Time Utility of LTI’s DCC: A Success Story

In a client’s manufacturing plant, there was production stoppage reported due to asset and application downtime. There was no single platform to view in real-time system health, application health and business KPIs. By deployment of Digital command center@edge solution, systems were completely inter-connected and helped LTI identify the root cause and point of failure. Also, the client faced production downtime at the plant, which led to high wastage and delay in the delivery of finished goods post packaging, and in turn impacting the revenue. With the help of real-time insights provided by Digital command center@edge, the downtime was reduced, helping the client in improving their Cycle time for production.

Digital command center@edge Analytics, now enabled with AI, will empower Intelligent Manufacturing.

Digital command center@edge is the first of its kind, cutting-edge technology in the industry, crafted to transform the manufacturing industry. With Digital command center@edge, LTI aims to empower the industry with actionable production insights, which will result in greater savings, further scaling to enterprise-level solutions with greater business impact.

This makes our Digital Command Center@edge, a future of Intelligent Manufacturing!
