This morning I read an article which said “According to a LinkedIn survey, in the last decade, data analytics has transformed hiring practices with 63% of companies using AI to streamline decisions” These numbers represent an broad trend which is being seen in India across industries.

A similar kind of shift has also been witnessed across the Indian tech industry which has seen AI making inroads across various functions from recruitment enhancing employee experience.

The report also highlights some success stories on how companies have benefitted from the use of AI.

One of the case study talks about how Genpact have implemented a single-touch hiring model which has reduced the hiring turnaround time from 8 to 5 weeks, saving 6000+ manhours and $250k+ financial benefits from efficiency.

IBM’s case study in the report highlights how its Ask HR – the conversational AI tool which is being used by 243k unique users across 81 countries, has automated 756k HR transactions with 75% quicker transactions execution.

These case examples are reflective of the transformation and efficiency that can be built by leveraging AI across various HR functions.

Another key trend that got highlighted in this years report and has become a key point of discussion is the rise of soft skills in the age of AI.
