So, continuing our focus on marketing mix and discussing its 6 levers. In this section, we will discuss the last 2 levers of the marketing mix. Last 2 levers of Marketing Mix: Empowered Delighted Customers and Employee Success:

 

5. Empowered Delighted Customers

Social Media Testimonials:

Two commonly used social media for SaaS Testimonials are:

  • Twitter: Collate twitter testimonials
    • GetSiteControl and Gusto have successfully integrated Twitter testimonial features on their homepages
  • Facebook: Collect feedback and testimonials for your brand from Facebook and display them on your website
    • Udemy encourages its users to leave Facebook reviews and have embedded the reviews on its website

 

Website Testimonials:

Testimonials from customers can be from

  • Industry Experts: Extremely effective when reviewed by a renowned industry expert.
    • OptinMonster, a lead generation tool has collected reviews from various industry experts, and their testimonial page witness tremendous website hits and has helped in revenue growth
  • Happy Customers: Should include crisp and meaningful review and profile picture
    • HelpScout displays a slider featuring testimonials with large images of the user and their feedback, AWeber neatly arranges successful SaaS stories explaining their platform's simplification of email marketing

 

Video Testimonials

  • YouTube Testimonials:
    • The happiest customers who have achieved their goals with your product are the likely ones to agree to record a testimonial video Embed the YouTube video link on your website and share it on social media platforms
    • Skillshare uses video testimonials of successful customers elaborating on tips to use their platform to achieve success
    • Stephaine Herrrara for Salesforce and Wiley for Hootsuite are top examples of effective video testimonials

 

6. Employee Success

Draft an Elevator Pitch

  • Use customer insights to develop an effective elevator pitch
  • All your employees should have this elevator pitch which they can use at the required time
  • The pitch should be updated basis new customer insights and new product features
  • Slack and its employees use short but to the point pitch which is effective and memorable

 

Educate employees on social media best practices

  • Fix 20-30 minutes time for your employees to spread the word of your brand on their personal Twitter, LinkedIn, and various industry forums
  • Employees social interactions are very beneficial for the company so encourage these interactions
  • Tools such as Smart aggregates company news and industry-relevant content which the employees can use for sharing relevant information
  • MailChimp creates personalized gifs for its employees to share on social media whenever they launch a new campaign

 

Encourage Creativity

  • Encourage new ideas and provide various ways to help them implement those ideas
  • Make your employees feel more connected and integrated into the system
  • Acknowledge your employee's efforts and trust in your brand in various ways including monetary benefits
  • Intuit developed innovation labs and encourages its employees to spend 10% of their working hours on unstructured projects/ideas
