Disha - Returnship of women to the workplace after maternity leave

This white paper highlights women’s returnship experiences navigating the transition back to the workplace following maternity leave. The paper derives its insights from interviews with working women with over ten years of professional experience in Bengaluru, Delhi, and Mumbai. Using these insights, the paper lays a roadmap for managers and organisations to support and retain incredible talent who just happen to be mothers. It also offers logistical, emotional and mentorship advice to expectant mothers on various themes. It presents a firm and clear case for organisations to become more inclusive, equal and employers of choice for women across all levels. It presents the case that belongingness and empathy are values organisations and employees need to harness.
