Arguably, funding is a common enough challenge and if not addressed on time, it has the potential to derail strategic initiatives. Why strategic, come to think of it, even day-to-day operations are likely to get severely impacted! As recent as few days back, the Indian Analytics industry was agog with news of fresh infusion of funds in two companies – Bridge i2i and Fractal Analytics. Let us briefly capture their moments of joy, as we join in with a loud round of cheer.

Bridge i2i

On 1st June in Bangalore, it made an announcement of securing Series A growth capital from Edelweiss Private Equity, the Venture Capital and Private Equity arm of Edelweiss Financial Services, one of India’s leading diversified financial services conglomerate.

It has built a significant global customer base, including 10 of the Fortune 100 companies across Technology, Manufacturing, Financial Services, Insurance and Retail sectors. BRIDGEi2i has been recognized by Deloitte in the ‘Technology Fast 50’ in 2015, and earlier by NASSCOM in ‘Emerge 50’ in 2014.

The investors are impressed with what Bridge i2i has achieved in a relatively short span of time. With this investment, Edelweiss has acquired a minority stake in the Company and Pranav Parikh, Head of Private Equity and VC funds, at Edelweiss will be joining BRIDGEi2i’s Board.

Fractal Analytics

Fractal Analytics is a global analytics firm that helps Fortune 500 companies gain competitive advantage through deep understanding of consumers and better data driven decisions.

San Mateo, CA., (May 10, 2016) — Fractal Analytics (www.fractalanalytics.com) announced a partnership with Khazanah Nasional Berhad, the strategic investment fund of the Government of Malaysia, which will invest up to USD 100 million in the company to accelerate its growth.

The investors believe that availability of large amounts of real-time information and the ability to analyse it at scale, will transform how the world makes decisions. Fractal is one of the companies leading this change and with the partnership now in place, it can dramatically accelerate its programmatic investments and acquisitions.
