The current need of the ecosystem is to automate and increase the efficiency of these processes so that the patient experience in the hospital can be improved along with the adoption of better treatment methods.

Continuing our next 5 use cases identified by hospitals and healthcare companies to solve large-scale problems.

  1. Early Detection of  Microbes and Infection

It’s very common across most hospitals that it takes at least 24 hrs to 2-3 days to detect the preliminary infection. To treat infection, antibiotics are used which have a high cost and are also in shortage. So, a need for a solution that can detect infection in less than 24 hours is of great importance. The best scenario would be if detection can be done in 6-8 hours because it will help narrow down the use of antibiotics hence saving them.

About the Use Case

Early detection of infection helps the hospitals to start the right antibiotics. The solution should be able to identify microbial infection in 6-8 hours.

  1. Preventive Health Checkup Tracking

Patients always face challenges in the hospital in tracking the places to visit for getting the test done. So, an application that helps patients track their next steps will help a lot. This will help in reducing their time spent in the hospital and provide them with a stress-free process.

About the Use Case

Patient tracking helps patients to track the current next relevant place to visit and hence reducing the patient wait time. Post billing in the hospital, the patient shall be able to see the next places to visit. The checklist shall get autocompleted for each test generating an acknowledgment at the end.

  1. AI-Based Surgical Video Recording & Reporting

Video recording in arthroscopy surgery is gaining attention these days. Recording the arthroscopic findings before and after the surgery is an essential part of the patient’s medical record. Digital copy of the recording is given to the patient after the surgery. These videos will later be used for orthopaedic conferences, training surgeons etc. These videos also help in discussing some unusual cases tackled successfully in the operation theatre. It also acts as an educational content for post-graduates, fellows and health surgeons.

About the Use Case

An AI-based solution to generate a post-surgery report on EMR including surgical images and links to surgical videos, as well as email/ SMS, triggered to patient. The requirement is to have a multi-channel video capture card in one single system and software to record all in a storage area.

  1. Automated Credit payment Settlement

The cash flow credit cycle holds big importance in managing payment issues and automated payment system that integrates multiple payment channels like emails, pairs like EIS, CGHS, insurance companies etc. So, a system that can integrate these and settle them in hospital information system. Also the solution should be capable of using AI, and machine learning to do analytics for better management of these cash flows.

About the Use Case

The solution allows automatic settlement of outstanding bills through HIS by reading bills and vouchers received from different organizations. It helps in replacing manual entries of voucher settlements.
