Based on  data, it sorted out the top 10 global mobile apps (non-game) by download and advertising in February 2022, hoping to be of help to more people in the mobile app industry who try to understand the changing trends of the global mobile market.

First, the downloads of non-game apps in February. WhatsApp Messenger, a communication app owned by Meta, remained No.1 on the App Store's most-downloaded chart with 11.4 million downloads in February. Instagram, also owned by Meta, was the most downloaded on Google Play, recording a total of 27.3 million downloads, down 10.5% Month-on-Month (MoM).
 
ZOOM Cloud Meetings was the only non-game app on the App Store that saw a MoM growth in downloads, moving up 3 spots on the App Store's most-downloaded chart with over 8.2 million downloads.
 
TikTok reported a significant increase in February to reach a total of over 23.2 million downloads, with 7.5 million from the App Store (moving down 2 spots on its most-downloaded chart) and 15.7 million from Google Play.
 
Overall, most of the non-game apps on the charts of February 2022 saw a decline in downloads compared to their downloads in January. Top apps were mainly social apps, and the charts were still dominated by apps owned by Meta and Google.
 

Top 10 by Advertising

Let's move to the advertising of global apps in February. The news app NewsBreak remained No.1 on the advertising chart with its over 70,000 deduplicated creatives on iOS (up to 1.7% MoM) and over 600,000 deduplicated creatives on Android.
 
Shopping apps saw significant growth in ad creatives. Several shopping apps remained on the chart, including VIVAIA, Lattelier, Chic Me, SHEIN, and Lazada 10th Birthday Month. SHEIN had over 50,000 deduplicated creatives on Android, a dramatic increase of 660.7% MoM.
