We, along with the industry, held detailed discussions with the senior officials of Ministry of Finance on April 26 and 27, 2024 on key measures to improve ease of doing business under GST. Pursuant to the meeting, we have made a detailed submissions on key suggestions to improve ease of doing business under GST. Thes include suggestions on the following: 

  1. Recommendations in respect of export rules liberalisation under GST law
  2. Challenges being faced by online seller on levy of Tax Collection at Source for ecommerce industry
  3. Need for recognition of Virtual Principal Place of Business (VPPoB) for online seller of goods through ECO
  4. Simplification of GST registration process
  5. Need to allow paperless invoicing for B2C supplies
  6. Redressal of issues for services covered under S. 9(5) of CGST Act/ S. 5(5) of IGST Act
  7. Recommendations to reduce cost for businesses by removing restrictions in availing specified ITC
  8. Recommendations in respect of unlocking working capital through credit optimization

We believe, implementing these measures will significantly improve ease of doing business and provide certainty to the industry with respect to the treatment under the GST. Please write to tejasvi@nasscom.in for more information.
