At workplaces, we can evaluate a high-performance building by analyzing and making suitable recommendations on the workspace configurations and maintenance

In the past decade, there has been a massive shift towards environmentally sustainable projects. Along with green building concepts and sustainable development, high-performance buildings naturally gained attention since humans spend 90 percent of their time indoors.

High-performance buildings use passive design strategies to ensure that a building will consume a minimal amount of energy once completed while life quality improves dramatically. It aids in delivering a higher level of energy-efficiency performance in employees at a workplace.

How to achieve High-Performance Workplaces?
We can achieve High-Performance Buildings by compiling and evaluating inputs and outputs in a project and its potential environmental impacts through its life cycle. It is determined by how well it is optimized for occupant comfort, sustainability, and energy efficiency. According to a Harvard study, High-performance buildings result in a better cognitive function in employees. The design of a workplace has a substantial impact on the well-being of an employee.

At workplaces, we can evaluate a high-performance building by analyzing and making suitable recommendations on the workspace configurations and maintenance, considering the health and well-being of occupants through strategized workplace spatial planning. We can improve Indoor Air Quality by a thorough assessment followed by recommendations such as Portable Air Purifiers.
Re-designing circulations to ensure touchless or hands-free and access-control recommendations at entrances locations and elevators etc. Re-configuring toilet clusters to a more safe and hygienic condition with upgrades such as sensor-based toilet fixtures.

After a light pollution study, good lighting largely depends on the type of fixtures optimized lux levels concerning available natural light for increased productivity. Measure noise levels and suggest ways to improve acoustics. We can improve ventilation by adding additional openings in facades and material selection, ensuring sustainable and safe surfaces through appropriate technology adoption and flexible working.

We recommend conducting an Engineering Performance and Evaluation and Health Check through routine power consumption trends assessment and output efficiency analysis of essential MEP equipment and systems such as chillers, pumps, Air Handling Units, elevators, transformers, DG Sets, Sewage Treatment Plants, etc.
