The Future of Work: Building a Creator Economy

We are at a Strategic Inflection Point (SIP) on this planet where we have an option of looking at creating mechanisms of growth or weapons of self destruction. The former would mean Identifying our Future with Precision through the lens of Aspiration, accurately understanding the status quo and divining a compass for the transformative journey within a well defined scale of time and economy to accomplish the goals of transformation. The latter would mean pretending there is no imminent danger or threat to humanity continuing the pursuit of incremental change focusing through the lens of Ambition to expand one’s power. This is true for both individuals and enterprises anywhere on this planet.

The essential difference between Ambition and Aspiration is the difference between ME and WE.

We have arrived here historically where few people had the money to employ a majority to produce Products and Services that were consumed by all limiting alternatives or choices, competitively. Thus the power of money created structures that moved societies through revolutions, bloodshed, civil unrests, strikes and protests to release power little by little as a bargain to effectively balance life when human aspirations that were suppressed raised its head and this was managed with the offer of ambition to a limited few. But the human spirit is still alive to the potential of being free to express and create. Digital Technology offers the potential to liberate life on the planet with Intelligence that cognitively establishes new processes and practices departing from the Present into the Future with Risk Assurance and Deliberate Design. Creating a new Knowledge about the Potential and Possibilities of Life eliminating Inequality and sustaining life to a higher Quality Of Living.

Knowledge is not what you know but what you do with what you don’t know.

The first step in the direction of anything “Future” is this fundamental mind shift that each individual needs to invest in. The shift in the Power of Data Ownership from Enterprises to Individuals. Since the age of Industrialization, data has been created, processed and analyzed from the perspective of Consumption. The time and opportunity has arrived for creating and computing the data in realtime from the perspective of Creation. This economic shift must be capitalized by Individuals taking accountability to create data that blends new Synergies (Culture) of Solopreneurship, Intrapreneurship and Entrepreneurship enabled by Systems that energize a Human Ecosystem to Connect, Curate, Contextualize and Collaborate driving a financial ecosystem; reversing the mistakes of the past.

Technology should be visualized as the eighth role in the customer ecosystem where the other seven roles are clients, team members, stakeholders, shareholders, business partners, vendors and society (government / regulators).

It is not enough to survive. It is a time to thrive creating better circumstances. Not just a few but rather all. Inclusiveness must be cascading through the flow of Concepts, Culture, Capabilities and Configuration; scaling Customer, Industry and Life Ecosystems. This is a $190 Trillion opportunity as estimated by World Bank to reinvent life being built on the premise of sustainability rather than short term gratification of just the shareholder community. The premise that Ideas will generate Value and not Money is a realization that must be intelligently ingested to drive digital transformation at every level of our societies.

This Creator Economy demands Valuation based transaction at every level of commerce that is inherently and intelligently computed through the engagement and experience of the customer ecosystem across enterprise, industry & life.
