Industry-academia programs, invariably have common enough objectives – to fill the skill-gap and eventually create a robust feeder (of talent), which can then address the growing aspirations of the sector. In Analytics, it is no different.

Despite the obvious similarities, there’s a big difference though while building a program for Analytics,   a domain which is still evolving very rapidly, and exact requirements are not often scripted in black and white. NASSCOM believes that building a structured courseware in Analytics is of great importance for all stakeholders concerned – the industry, academia, and the students. Relentless effort has been forthcoming from the members of Analytics SIG, in developing content. It only underpins the significance of this domain, and the strong need to address the supply side economics. To put things in perspective and name a few members who have valuably contributed in developing the courseware for Analytics: ADP, Capgemini, Concentrix, Cyient Insights, EXL, Fractal Analytics, First America, Genpact, Infosys BPO, Insights of Data, Karvy Analytics, Wipro, WNS and Wells Fargo.

Present Status:

The Associate Analytics Program, which was developed in December 2015, is being implemented in 60 Universities/Institutions spread in A.P & Telangana. More than 2000 students have registered for the program. The course is integrated into B.Tech – 3rd year 2nd semester; 4th year 1st semester and 2nd semester. SSC NASSCOM will conduct the final online assessment & certify them for the program.

Students who qualify will be part of the ready talent pool for our Analytics based member companies. In the next stage, the program will be scaled across Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Karnataka, Maharashtra, Delhi NCR to gather a pan-India audience.

The Courseware:

  • It is offered to freshers as well as to people with 0-2 yrs. experience.
  • Integrated as specialization in the university curriculum.
  • Designed & developed by IT companies.
  • Recognized certification from NSDC (Govt of India) & SSC NASSCOM.
  • Domain skill related to analytics, and generic skills covered.
