GCC Annual Report 2024

The 2024 GCC Annual Report underscores a transformative year for Global Capability Centers (GCCs), highlighting their evolution from operational support units to strategic innovation hubs. Key milestones include: Expansion & Innovation: GCCs in India spearheaded advancements in AI, machine learning, and cloud computing, reinforcing their role in driving global digital transformation. Over 78% of new centers prioritized digital capabilities. Economic Contributions: India remains the global leader in GCCs, hosting over 1,800 centers that contributed $64.6 billion in revenue in 2024, with projections to surpass $100 billion by 2030. Approximately 364,000 new jobs are anticipated by 2025. Regional Growth: Tier-2 cities like Jaipur and Coimbatore emerged as GCC hotspots due to rising Tier-1 costs and favorable policies. However, infrastructure gaps and talent shortages persist in these regions. Talent Development: Collaborations between industry, academia, and government focused on bridging skill gaps through upskilling programs, offering salaries 30% higher for niche roles, and promoting diversity via hybrid work models. Policy Support & Sustainability: Supportive policies like Uttar Pradesh’s draft GCC framework simplified compliance, while sustainability initiatives prioritized eco-friendly operations and ESG goals. Challenges: High attrition rates, regulatory complexities, and cybersecurity threats remain key concerns. Yet, investments in automation, zero-trust security, and workforce resilience are paving the way for stability.
