Time to get tested for the next level! A CA aspirant steps ahead to the next level as soon as he qualifies the first level of CA examinations i.e. the CA Foundation or Common Proficiency Test (CPT). However, has he really made a headway & acquired advanced knowledge – to move on are examined through the second level examination called the CA Intermediate exam.

As an evaluation of your next-level ingenuity and expertise in the subject, the CA Intermediate is the second-step of the uphill task to become a qualified member of ICAI.

A year give you two chances to clear the CPT, similarly, for the qualifying the second level i.e. the CA Intermediate exams also, an aspirant get two chances as the exams held twice a year and often in the months of May and November.

It is a desire of every CA aspirant to crack the exam in the very first attempt itself. This is possible when you follow an ideal combo of hard work, dedication, planning and aptitude.

We are here with some really helpful tips which will surely raise your chances to clear the second-level CA exam in the first attempt, if not, then surely be in the second attempt, provided you take extreme care following these tips sincerely and inescapably.

#1. Right Planning is the cornerstone

If you have a plan, you have a pillar to back what you want to materialise. Before starting a journey, you must a mind-set and a scheme as to how to reach the goal, otherwise, you will end up wasting time in unproductive tasks,

You need to be an early riser, to have a win-win in the journey to become CA, the laid-back attitude here will have nothing to give you in the last.

Plan a sleep of 6-8 hours, a study time of at least 8-10 hours and 1 hour of what you love to do the most – It can be TV, sports or any of your hobbies.

Make a plan that will make you full-fledged ready with the course before 5 months of examination, and you are no longer away from cracking the exam for sure.

#2. Clarity of Concept

A CA aspirant must ensure that he has an all-inclusive conceptual clarity. Join a coaching centre where you can get trained and clarity of each & every topic which is a part of your syllabus to ensure that an egg-headed is appearing for the exam.

#3. Review & Revise is Ordinary yet Beneficial Advice

Your day must begin with something new to grasp but it must end with what you have learnt all day long. At the end of each day, review & revise what you have learnt and give yourself a score.

A good score, in the end, will be prize of motivation whereas a bad score will be a lesson to be learnt the next day.

5 months of studies and 4 months of revision will set you right to successfully qualify the CA Intermediate exam in one year i.e. first two attempts of exams.

#4. 100% coverage of syllabus

Do not begin your preparation with the mind-set to spare some parts of the syllabus as that equates to sparing your chances to crack CA intermediate.

You must have 100% coverage of the syllabus to make sure that you do not feel dim-witted when you discover the question paper. 100% coverage + 100% revision = 100% chances.

#5. Identify the Subject, you are Sure to Excel

A CA aspirant must know the subjects in which he can perform well. These subjects will let you attain the 50% aggregate criteria.

Practice last years’ exam questions and questions of ICAI MTP & RTP in a timely manner to avert getting stagnant and maintain a constant flow of preparation while ensuring that you are covering every question that was a part of previous years’ exams.

#7. Mock Test Papers

CA Intermediate Mock Test papers are an extremely powerful tool to grease the wheels for you to quickly choose the correct answer when you appear for examination where both the options of MCQ seem correct.

A CA enthusiast must complete at least 3 mock test series after completing the entire syllabus. Keep a check on the average time you are investing in solving one question and try shrinking this time as you practice solving the papers available at the end of the chapter.

#8. Knock off the daily and occasional distractions

An education certification that holds high-value like that of CA is an indication of one’s contribution of time and efforts.

For the time-frame, that you study & practice for CA examination, it’s very important to knock off all the daily as well as occasional distractions. This does not signify the termination of recreational activities, it simply means to not to get too much involved in distractions like social media, mobile phones, web series, TV etc.

#9. Don’t Back Out

Start each day with strong determination & motivation, even when you failed to solve a few questions or did not perform well in one MTP.

A CA enthusiast should never back out as it is long-journey that demands unstoppable hard-work, unbreakable self-confidence and uninterrupted practices. No place for self-doubt and lassitude.

#10. Do not compare with others, compare with yourself

Look out for the better you – more intelligent, more determined, more knowledgable; every day! Revere your strengths, use them to do away with our weaknesses and discover the new you every day – who is more closer to the target.

Comparing the study schedules, waking hours, syllabus covered with another will stop you from looking what you have accomplished and how you can move on, it will give you a pessimistic attitude which may obstruct you focus on your studies & efforts.
