On August 2, 2021, NASSCOM submitted additional inputs to the Directorate General of Foreign Trade, based on the inputs received from the industry in relation to the revised draft of the Global Authorisation for Intra-Company Transfer (GAICT) policy.

Our submission included the following:

  1. Request to make submission of original EUC optional at the time of filing GAICT application, considering that a GAICT authorisation allows for multiple export transactions for an approved list of products and approved supply chain, it is possible that an EUC is not available with the exporter at the time of filing the GAICT application, or even within 30 days of such filing.
  2. Expand the list of eligible destination countries under GAICT policy, to include certain Asia-Pacific countries that are essential destinations for intra-company transfers, such as, Malaysia, Singapore and Taiwan.
  3. Request for clarifying that original import to be under licence exception is no longer a requisite for GAICT
  4. Request for notifying the Revised Aayat Niryat Forms (ANF) and format for End-User Certificate, that is currently pending.
