If you show Gratuity as a part of CTC and deduct from the employees monthly salary, then you are liable to pay the employee even if he dosen’t complete the tenure of 5 year with you.

If you don’t have larger size of employees and if you can manager the gratuity calculations In-house it is better than keeping it with LIC. The only thing is that there should not be any default on the payments to employees.
