In the month of April 2025, nasscom collaborated with the Sri Ram College of Commerce, University of Delhi, one of the leading educational institutions in India, as its knowledge partner for the annual event Shri Ram Conquonomics 2025. This is an annual policy-making competition which allows one to dive deep into research, analyse policies, and present innovative solutions to promote economic growth and address societal challenges. This annual event is organised by the Economics Society, SRCC.

The partnership was front ended by the Public Policy team at nasscom, in continuation of past associations as a knowledge partner during earlier editions of the event. Pursuant to this collaboration, nasscom curated two case studies for the intermediate rounds of the event. These case studies dealt with the following public policy issues:

  1. AI and economic growth: Exploring opportunities and challenges

This case study was framed to understand whether the current trend of AI adoption is likely to result in concentration of its benefits in high-skill, urban technological clusters? And what policy frameworks are needed to democratise the economic gains of AI?

  1. Interplay between Copyright framework and AI

The case study sought discussion on exploring the challenges of balancing advancement of AI with copyright protection.

Further, as part of the collaboration, nasscom was invited to judge the final round of the contest, helping to select innovative and impactful policy proposals. The final round of the contest was designed around a hypothetical situation involving international relations in the Indo-Pacific region. Total 11 teams from different colleges across India were shortlisted for the final round who presented and debated their respective policy proposals.
