India continues to be the destination of choice for new GCC set up as well as expansion by existing GCCs. Today, India hosts a thriving GCC ecosystem of over 1580 GCCs, with a pool of over 1.66 mn talented professionals, reaching a size of USD 46 bn in FY2023.

In the first half of this calendar year, 18 new GCCs were set up in India across various sectors. GCCs from Software and internet vertical had the maximum share among all the GCCs set up during the H1CY2023, with almost 44% of the new GCCs emerging out of this vertical. This is followed by Chemicals and Materials, Retail, and BFSI verticals.

 

GCC 7

 

For existing GCCs, the spread across verticals is more evenly distributed. Industrial, Software and internet, and semiconductors verticals expanded the most, followed by BFSI and other verticals.

 

GCC 8

 

For the new and existing GCCs, the spread across the verticals continues to be diverse. More and more GCCs are entering and expanding in India across various verticals.
