India's Global Capability Center (GCC) ecosystem experienced significant growth in Q2 CY2025, with 16+ new GCCs established. This expansion is driven by various industries and spans across different global regions, with a noteworthy presence in emerging Indian cities.

While major hubs like Bengaluru and Hyderabad continue to attract a significant number of GCCs, with Bengaluru welcoming 6+ new centers and Hyderabad 5+, other cities are also emerging as key destinations. Kolkata, Nagpur, and Noida have each seen 1+ new GCCs , and Pune has attracted 2+ new GCCs.

The rise of these new GCC locations is supported by their developing infrastructure, making them attractive destinations for these GCCs.

  • Pune: Pune is a well-established IT and manufacturing hub. As per various industry reports, Pune's infrastructure includes a robust network of IT parks like Rajiv Gandhi Infotech Park in Hinjewadi, and it benefits from good road connectivity, including the Mumbai-Pune Expressway.   • Nagpur: While an emerging market for GCCs, Nagpur is strategically located at the geographical center of India, making it a key logistics hub. It is part of significant infrastructure projects like the Nagpur-Mumbai Super Communication Expressway (Samruddhi Mahamarg), which is enhancing connectivity. The city also has Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar International Airport and is developing into a multi-modal international cargo hub (MIHAN). These developments, along with its growing educational institutions, are gradually building its appeal for businesses.

The continued growth of GCCs in these diverse Indian cities highlights the country's strengthening position as a global capability hub, driven by a combination of talent availability, evolving infrastructure, and a supportive business environment.
