Seeking Inputs: Draft Inter State Migrant Worker (Amendment) Rules 2018 and Draft Contract Labour (Amendment) Rules 2018

The Ministry of Labour and Employment has recently published the following draft rules seeking inputs from the stakeholders:

 

1. Inter-State Migrant Workmen (Regulation of Employment and Conditions of Service) Central (Amendment) Rules, 2018 and

2. Contract Labour (Regulation and Abolition) Central (Amendment) Rules, 2018.

 

The above rules aims to simplify current registration and payment process under the said laws by replacing physical (hard-copy) registration and payment procedures with online facilities, i.e. the Shram Suvidha Portal of the Ministry of Labour and Employment.

Last date of sending inputs to Government is 3rd October 2018. Kindly share with us any feedback /concerns (if any) that you may have on this latest by 28th September at policyquery@nasscom.in  for us to collate responses and make timely submission.
